The Latin Chamber of Commerce of the Gulf Coast paid a heartfelt tribute to Doña Ana G. Méndez, founder of our institution, by posthumously presenting her with the Woman Who Builds Award—a distinction that highlights her visionary legacy and the profound impact she made in higher education for thousands of Hispanic students in the United States and Puerto Rico.
Once again, the life and legacy of our founder are recognized by the Hispanic communities we serve. Our university community also celebrates this distinction, which reflects the enduring relevance of Doña Ana’s vision to provide everyone with access to an excellent, affordable, and cutting-edge education.
