Last week, Career Placement hosted different events (information sessions and panel discussions) for business, social work, and psychology students at our South Florida Campus in Miami Lakes. The support, help, and participation were outstanding!

Ana G. Méndez University y su división de Educación Continúa se unieron con Hispanic Federation en Orlando para ofrecer un curso intensivo a organizaciones sin fines de lucro en diferentes áreas de interés y otorgar un certificado al finalizar el mismo. Representantes de más de diez organizaciones estuvieron presentes para poder obtener el certificado en manejo efectivo de organizaciones sin fines de lucro. Gracias a los profesores de Ana G. Méndez University que otorgaron las charlas y a Laudi Campo, Directora de Hispanic Federation, por su alianza con nuestra universidad.
Nos sentimos muy orgullosos que un estudio escrito por las profesoras Dra. Maribel Ortiz Soto, Dra. Guisell Larrequi y el Decano de Negocios y Emprendimiento, el Dr. Juan Rivera Ortiz, fue recientemente publicado en el prestigioso jornal académico Revista Academia y Negocios.

Ana G. Méndez University hosted Javier Cuebas, Founder of Grupo 21, to give an informative session to students on best practices to attain positions in the federal government. The session was attended in person by students of the Metro Orlando Campus and virtually by students from South Florida and Tampa Bay through the help of Monica Brotons, Director of Career Placement.

On Wednesday, January 31, the Ana G. Méndez University Metro Orlando Campus hosted an insightful panel “Journey Through the System’s Response to Human Trafficking” around the subject of Human Trafficking. It was an event hosted by our Social Work program and attended by students, professors, and the community. Thanks to our professor Virginia Tenias, LMSW, Judge Wilfredo Martinez, and the Florida Abolitionist organization for being expert speakers on the subject.
Director Suheily Martinez of Metro Orlando Campus visited the Nuevos Senderos organization that provides services and support to victims of violence and sexual abuse to establish collaboration and services for this population. Ana G. Méndez University always supporting our communities!
