Ana G. Méndez University hosted Javier Cuebas, Founder of Grupo 21, to give an informative session to students on best practices to attain positions in the federal government. The session was attended in person by students of the Metro Orlando Campus and virtually by students from South Florida and Tampa Bay through the help of Monica Brotons, Director of Career Placement.

"Journey Through the System’s Response to Human Trafficking" panel hosted at Metro Orlando Campus

On Wednesday, January 31, the Ana G. Méndez University Metro Orlando Campus hosted an insightful panel “Journey Through the System’s Response to Human Trafficking” around the subject of Human Trafficking. It was an event hosted by our Social Work program and attended by students, professors, and the community. Thanks to our professor Virginia Tenias, LMSW, Judge Wilfredo Martinez, and the Florida Abolitionist organization for being expert speakers on the subject.

Acting Chancellor Syndia Nazario invited to a Puerto Rican leaders roundtable

On Tuesday January 23rd, our Acting Chancellor and Associate VP of Government Relations and Community Affairs Syndia Nazario was invited to a Puerto Rican leaders roundtable with Secretary Miguel Cardona from the U.S. Department of Education. The event was held at Borinquen Health Center in the Wynwood area of Miami. #SomosAGMU

Ana G. Méndez University participated in Orlando Expo Mujer

On Saturday, January 20, Ana G. Mendez University Metro Orlando Campus participated in the great Orlando Expo Mujer conference where our School of Business professor Carola Gabauer gave a talk entitled "Empowering women with data and education to achieve goals in leadership and entrepreneurship."

Many thanks to Marieangie Rosario and Mujer Emprende Latina - Orlando for the partnership with AGM University - the institution where Latina women have the opportunity for an education of excellence.

Three Kings' Day Eve celebrated in Florida

Last Friday, January 5, Ana G. Mendez University welcomed more than 1,500 people at its three Florida campuses for a huge Three Kings Eve celebration event. In Orlando, Tampa, and South Florida concurrently held large events with music, food, and gifts to capture the tradition of the Three Wise Men's visit. Ana G. Mendez University has been a pioneer for the past two decades as an institution providing excellence in education for Hispanics.
