AGMU Metro Orlando Campus conducts a donation initiative as part of a community service project led by Social Work students

Social Work students and professors from Ana G. Méndez University Metro Orlando Campus delivered 237 bottles in support of people experiencing homelessness.

The activity took place at the SALT facilities in Orlando as part of a community service initiative, where participants reaffirmed their commitment to social well-being and support for vulnerable communities.

This action is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to promote social responsibility and active engagement within its academic community.

Career Discussion Panel at AGMU Tampa Bay

Ana G. Méndez University, Tampa Bay Campus, brought together professionals from various industries for a career discussion panel where they shared experiences, challenges, and key decisions with students.

The participants offered direct insight into the current job market and provided guidance on how to prepare effectively and make strategic career decisions.

During the event, the panelists also discussed the challenges they faced throughout their careers and how they overcame them to continue advancing professionally.

AGMU Participates in the Hispanic Unity Summit in Doral

Ana G. Méndez University, South Florida Campus, participated in the Hispanic Unity Summit held in Doral, where Hispanic leaders and organizations from across the United States addressed topics related to education and professional development.

During the event, university representatives presented the institution’s bilingual academic model and explained how it prepares professionals to meet current workforce demands.

The event marked its first edition in Miami after 12 years of being held in Broward.

AGMU Presents Important Research in the Field of Communications

Ana G. Méndez University (AGMU) participated in the 9th International Congress on Communication Research, held in Barcelona, Spain, presenting the paper Between immediacy and ethics in environmental citizen journalism: experiences in Puerto Rico, delivered by Dr. Víctor Manuel García-Suárez, professor at our School of Liberal Arts.

During his presentation, the researcher addressed the conceptual and ethical challenges of so-called citizen journalism in the environmental context.
